Hammer appointed Co-Secretary of Colorado Bar Association's Ethics Committee

Lawyer Karen A. Hammer has been named Co-Secretary of the Colorado Bar Association's Ethics Committee. Ms. Hammer is also a member of the Education Subcommittee. Ms. Hammer is one of only two lawyers in the City of Boulder serving on the Ethics Committee, joining Professor William T. Pizzi of the University of Colorado School of Law.
The Colorado Bar Association Ethics Committee is a standing committee of the Colorado Bar Association, staffed by approximately 90 Colorado attorneys, existing for the purpose of giving guidance to Colorado attorneys on questions of professional conduct and making recommendations for changes to the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct.
Ms. Hammer's law practice includes the law of lawyering. Prior to moving to Colorado, Ms. Hammer practiced law in Washington, D.C. She is the former Chair of the District of Columbia Bar Association's Real Estate, Housing, and Land Use Committee and a former member of the White House and Congressional Committee on Character Building in Education. Ms. Hammer is also a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar.
